Coffee Table - Cafe Del Rey

The Idea

I've loved the Chef's Table series on Netflix ever since it was released. I had always wanted to recreate it in some capacity and after meeting Devereaux and the team at Cafe Del Rey, I knew they were the perfect characters to pull off a parody of the show. Playing into the at times pretentious nature of the coffee scene, we took the soundbites and descriptions of coffee to the absurd.

The Results

The goal of the video was to drive reach and engagement on the Cafe Del Rey instagram account with the hopes of getting people into the cafe. Within a couple days of posting, the video gathered over 15,000 views with more comments and shares than any other reel on their account. Viewers loved how high-quality the video was for a gag. This illustrates how investing a little more in the visuals of an idea can push it over the top.
